G'day All,

A friend of mine carefully removed this little guy from one of his bird aviaries and was wondering what species it was. It was released after the photo was taken and relocated on the property not far from the aviaries. My guess is some form of Whipsnake. Any help would be appreciated. I've edited to include a bigger image of the snake.

Sorry forgot to ad the photo was taken on the Gold Coast and yes there is a streak behind the eye which for me indicates a species Whipsnake.

yeh i can just see a streak of yellow behind the eye, a side shot would be better, but id say yellow face whip

Thanks guys that was my opinion too but I wanted to make sure first. They are a beautiful species. He gets a lot of snakes on the property and regardless of this they never get killed just left alone or moved to another section of the property. We hate snake killers.
