Spontaneous Snake Death.

to be on the safe side I would try to increase over night temps until you are sure everything is under control

Second snake probably died from the original injury
although snake diseases can be contagious it is uncommon for them to strike like this especially given the big differences
in condition of both snakes
also the really nasty ones take a long time to show up

Ive never heard of using both predator mites and oil together?
could the oil affect the predator mites?

Thankfully all but one of my other snakes have over night heating and I will provide him with an under-tank heat mat until I figure out what is going on in my collection. I am so worried, I've now lost one third of my collection and it's so upsetting.

The oil is just during bathing but all of the mites die, good and bad. Thankfully the colony in the enclosure keeps going even if the predatory mites die on the animal die.
