So much for what I was told as a kid on the farm. "If you have bobtails (shinglebacks) around, you don't have any snakes around." We had brown and tiger snakes at Toolondo (30 miles SSW of Horsham).

If it was at moore river it would be Tiliqua rugosa rugosa.

are you positive it was a tiger ? Hard to tell in those pics.
 
Do some adult dugites have banding? The one in my pictures has faint banding although those pictures I posted don't show it too well. I have a few other pics I will post up here tomorrow.
 
Yea mate - many dugites have banding (usually faded) and that pic is definately a dugite.
I have known of many cases of dugites eating bobtails.
Have not heard of a tiger eating one yet.
but it wouldnt surprise me.
 
I've seen some dugites with banding before although I think the bands were further apart or maybe not. Anyway thanks for the identification!
