Ok, so am getting my first beadie soon and want to save $$$$ (my dad,s $$) by building my own enclosure.

1) In our research we only see sizes around 1 metre (length) x 60 deep cm or thereabouts and 90 cm high

Ideally we want the size approx 1.2 metres Lenght 1 mtre high and 60/70 cm deep.

Is this possible ?? Does it change the heating requirements ? DO we need air vents on the sides etc please help and advise??

Also need confirmation of the types of materials asnd do they get painted laminated etc ???

you can build an enclosure or you can find an aquarium on eBay that might have a small crack or something and doesnt hold water, I have seen a 6 footer go for $100 one time with timber stand. That could be another option for you. all my beardies live in Aquariums
