Hi all,
I've been reading and researching around, and found a way that seems pretty simple. Can anything go wrong with popping out the hemipenes if it is a boy? It seems less intrusive than probing and seems like it would keep stress to a minimum. The snake I was considering popping was a 7 month old stimsons...

Could cause all kinds of damage of done wrong on a small snake.

Popping is generally done on neonates as the muscles servicing the hemipenes haven't quite developed full strength, so it is easier to force them out. this changes the older the snake gets, you are too late for this to be easy now, and at this age should be done by someone who has experience.

I guess I will give popping a miss. At what age could I take him to be probed, is their a minimum age?

No minimum age can basically do them straight out of the egg.
