Hi all just wondering if any of you people out there know what this is.
Personally i think it's an eastern brown that's what i told the guy out at Tara an hour away from Dalby. He caught it using a bamboo stick and coaxed into a bag.Be interesting to see what you all think very rich red colour. And it also had orange blotches on it's belly.

Its a bad photo so I wont even attempt it but if you could coax it into a bag with a stick its not an eastern brown.

looks like a tree snake to me, one of em browny red ones.

edited: ya i put my money on Boiga irregularis

Do you know JD from Tara snakey? John Donaldson. He's here, but his parents are still on property outside of Tara. Had a good feed in the pub at Tara. We were heading back from the Gympie Muster a few years back. Cheryl

did it seem to have large eyes? Is a brown colour so Eastern brown is a logical guess. if the eyes were big maybe brown tree snake. The browns I've dealt with are not easy to coax into doing anything. A more detailed picture would be good or perhaps a written description of appearance.
