G'day just wanted to clear something up.

Is eastern spiny tailed gecko intermedius (ref: vic license application) or williamsi(ref: complete guide to reptiles of australia) or ciliaris (ref: pails for scales site)

I thought cilaris was northern spiny tail gecko
I thought williamsi was eastern spiny tailed gecko
I thought intermedius was southern spiny tailed gecko

western spiny tailed gecko being stophurus...

(my thoughts according to their range)

Cheers. Lance.

This is a classic example of the one species having more than one common name, and the same name applied to different species, depending on where you are. That's why scientific names are so important.

If this is for licensing purposes, use the scientific name and the Common Name used by the Vic DEC.

:p
