The setup they have for lacies at the Ballarat Wildlife park is pretty neat. They have corigated iron walls to about 1500mm with a couple of gum trees in the middle. In one of the trees they have a cubby house for a hide box that is about a meter cubed. The monitors can bask on top of it etc.
The total area is about 6m x 6m which would be a bit of a challeng in suburbia but if I ever get a bit of land in the country.....
For pit walls I have seen old above ground swimming pool frames used successfully.
