What temps do you get with halogen down lights?

I'm just after what size of halogen down light I use to get a temp of 55 to 60 on my basking spot from 500mm away for my ackie?

35W-40W should do it for that distance. If you use something black for your basking spot it will get even hotter

Ok I guess ill do some trial and error thanks
