Cool little snakes, they fake lunge and strike like no tomorrow. Very easy to walk on top of as they hide under leaf litter etc. They look great when they rear up and flatten themselves out like little cobras.
My son and I found one not long ago, it was by pure dumb luck. We were catching skinks and I saw its shiny back through the leaf litter and grabbed it thinking it was a skink. I did a double take when I saw the head, nearly soiled myself; composed myself caught it , admired it then let it go. Blast it though, No Camera! Great photos thanks Nigmax.
