winter cooling - lizards

hey guys,

just wondering what i should do to when 'cooling' lizards in order to breed. do i need to reduce feeding a lot?

any info would be really helpful

its not needed for dragons, not sure bout other types but i normally just cool for a few weeks if i do it at all.
