Hey all,

We've got a young coastal (only a couple of mths old) , we've had it for a couple of weeks now and with a few attempts of wanting to offer it a feed, its just not showing any sign of wanting it. Its in a small click clack container along with another one (its our mates, they are both in our big 4 ft wide enclosure with the current tenant being a 1 1/2 yr old spotted (she's bit over a metre long). We were given this advice from snake owner (who has plenty), however our mates little coastal is showing no signs of wanting a feed. The other coastal is feeding fine.

We've tried: dangling it, leaving it for a while, leaving it overnight, covering it up.

We're going to get in touch with the breeder tomorrow, but we do know that it was feeding fine before it came home and it shed within the first week of it being with us. So its been roughly 3 or so weeks since last feed.

Any suggestions welcome. But as said we'll also get in touch with the breeder. Thanks guys.

So its sharing a click clack with another hatchling coastal, and then that click clack is in a bigger enclosure which is occupied by a spotted. Does this spotted have free range to go near the click clack? If so the hatchling may be stressed out? Alot of people put their click clacks in larger enclosures but I don't know how that would go with another snake already in there. Have you tried keeping the hatchling separate from the spotted to see if it makes any difference?

In the 4ft enclosure the spotted resides. Then inside that enclosure there are 2 click clacks with a coastal in each (from same hatch. siblings). We do have another enclosure but doesn't have a heat source (bulb blown), but might be something to get tomorrow to give it a try. So yeah the spotted can go around the babies, she almost checks them out as if to make sure that the babies are okay :)
