watching roger ramjet and doctor who when the was only channel 6 and Abc

That channel 6 was BTV6 Ballarat and as well as local programming they took some programs from channels 7, 9, and 10 from Melbourne.

I also remember watching the goods trains go past our house at Toolondo and they were pulled by steam locomotives (both coal and oil fired). They went over to diesel in the mid '60's and now the line has closed down.

I'm only 47.

[That would make you around 60 years old. Are you sure you're not talking about colour televisions? Not having a go at your age, with age comes wisdom (I'm an exception to the rule) ;) /QUOTE]

Not there yet, but its coming up fast.:)
1954 was a good year.

Yes, the coal fired steam trains and if you put your head out the window you ended up with a face full of ash. Walking along the rail line to pick up coal to use in the stove or heater.

Wood stoves and keeping the wood box full.

When you see a flat top arcade game and remember when you could get 5 games for 20c. Oh, how I miss 1942 and the original pac-man.

Does anyone remember Amstraad, Commodore64 and Atari. I still remember the old tape deck you had to load the computer programs (noise) off. And to copy one, you needed to cassette decks and a quiet room.

The last 2 weeks we have been playing wonderboy,r-type,alex the kid, alien syndrome etc on sega master system. :)
