I'm looking to buy at least three kangaroo skulls to clean and use in enclosures. I know there HAVE to be tonnes out there, considering how many roo leg bones we sell at the petstore.

Anyone know where I can get one? Local to Brisbane is better, and I'm not queemish about fresh skulls either (sorry if people think that's gross, but if it's all I can get from someplace that packages roo meat, that's fine).

I've checked e-bay, and replica skulls are way too expensive. :|

Thanks!

i will call up the place we get petfood roo meat from on monday morning if u would like
i gather they would have them but like u said they will be fresh
they might be franchised and have a place in qld aswel not sure but ill find out

I think your only problem will be getting an intact skull, as the roo shooters will only get paid for head shots, road kill might be your next bet.

That would be awesome. If they have any places in QLD that'd be awesome as well. Heck, I'll even order some roo meat to make it worth their while! I've got some cats and a magpie that wouldn't mind the treat.

Come out to Alice Springs and go for a drive down the Stuart Highway. I see a few dead kangaroos every day on my drive to work. I've hit a couple myself over the years - they're everywhere due to the lack of rain.

A point that may not have been considered is that according to the book it is not legal in most states to be in possession of native wildlife or parts thereof, whether dead or alive, road kill or carcasses included

If you find one I'll be happy to remove it from the body for you, if required. I'd be keen for a roo skull as well. let me know how you go with the pet food place.

LOL....good luck finding some...if you go into the country you can find bones...i have found heaps of bone parts (including skulls) of animals!

I had thought of that, but then....how can they sell roo bones at petstores? I know that I can't collect them myself, but I think that if I go through a pet food place, I should be able to have them without issue (I'll just make sure I keep a record of buying them from the pet place).

possesing dead protected native wildlife is illegal in QLD and most other states... The roo's that they use for mince and stuff are farmed and the farmers have wildlife farming licesnses....;)

I have sugarglider skulls, but they would be a tad small! LOL

(and they are still technically covered by my permit, so I dont know if Im allowed by law to give them away..)

I know there are ppl with skull collections out there, there was a collection for sale recently that i saw on here or it might have been RDU.. Try putting some ads up around the place, you might get a hit.

Technically it would be illegal to get a roo skull as they have to be head shot as pointed out. Still i cant see it being a problem getting one off the road. I would just look for other skulls, ram and bull skulls look cool and shouldnt be too hard to find. Im planning to get some cat and fox skulls on my next trip out west(whenever that is).

Hey Rosequoll,i have a roo skull in mt garage that you can have, send me a pm with the address and ill send you this one,Cheers

i imported about 100 coyote skulls from the states and could spare a few . look better then roo skulls .
