complaining girlfriends

been a few months since i got my last snake lol. since then i got a few monitors but thats about it. so now im interested in getting another snake, a jungle python. i mentioned it to the girlfriend and she went off her tree, "YOU HAVE BETTER THINGS TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON" and things like that are all being thrown at me. but it doesnt change my mind, i still want another snake. she has handled all my other pythons before and doesnt have a problem with them, but for some reason she doesnt want me to get any more reptiles. i try and negotiate with her, but nothing.
has anyone else experienced this and how have you worked around it/dealt with it.

im thinking about taking her when i want to choose one, so then she can atleast feel better about picking the one she likes, but obviously ther will be some persuasive nudging as to ones i like.

Why people let women rule there lives is beyond me (well not really, but you know what I mean), I bet if she wanted some new pet that wasn't a hassle at all, and you said no, there would be hell to pay and she would get it any way. mine has come to terms with the fact that "ITS MY HOUSE ILL DO WHAT I WANT" is my standard reaction

so needless to say she doesnt say a word now , even got her helping me clean things LOL

mine was the same, was meant to only have one, now have about 20 and its at the point where "what does one more matter?" although I did buy her a Wii to make the last purchase go down a little smoother........

p.s. i love playing the Wii also =)
