Thought I would post up a few updated pictures of one of my Diamond X Jungle pair. He colouring up nicely and starting to show both sides of his stunning parents.

Also here is something I noticed on him, if anyone has seen similar things on diamonds (or crosses) please let me know as I would be interested in finding out what it is.

You will notice that he has a few scales that where the yellow tipping from the diamond is meant to be there is a white colour, but it actually almost looks transparent.

Thanks, he's definately a stunner.

My main reason for posting him on here is to:

1. Show him off because I think he's a stunner :D
2. To see if anyone with Diamond Python experience has come across anything like his odd scales.

I like him even more than pure diamonds! ( i know thats like blasphemy on this site) :)

Not trying to start anything, but what's the point of this cross when it just looks the same as Natural Intergrades? To me the idea of crossing is to achieve a look/trait that is different.

Very nice S&M. When you say best of both worlds do you mean the prettiness of a Jungle but the temperament of a Diamond?

beautiful snake many people will argue that its not as its a cross but id honestly buy one of these

out of curiosity did u breed it? if so is there any other pics of clutchmates?

I know what you are saying, I have a port mac as well, but this guy is still colouring up. The lighter "blotches" (for lack of better word) will continue to become a brighter yellow. I will post more updates as he grows. (he's only around 12 mths old atm)

The female is a psycho and like the taste of human blood. But this guy is just a bit flighty but is slowly calming down with age.
But Diamonds can be just as pretty if not prettier than jungles IMO.

Great looking critter. I once ended up with a clutch of Diamond X Jungles by accident. I placed my Diamond boy in with my pair of Jungles as the male Jungle appeared to have been more interested in a civil union than the lovely girl I provided him with. This was merely an attempt to stir the Jungle boy on. I promised myself that there would be NO crossing as back then I would have been stoned for even hinting at the idea. But at about the same time as the first introduction there was a bash at the front door and was the lady from across the road who stated her waters had broken. Anywho some 14hrs later I returned home and removed the 2 males. When the time came having no idea who the father was I incubated only 5 of the 15 eggs and sure enough they were Diamond X Jungles. A funny mix though 3 = diamond looking but terrible attitudes and 2 B&G Jungle looking that were awesome handlers. They were never sold but given to close and trusted friends in the hobby.

As long as people are 100% honest about what the cross is I think its more than reasonable now days with so many different tastes in the trade for people to experiment. But again honesty is key not to destroy pure lines.

nice snake mate, i got a pair of yearlings pure but one has weird scales like that, starting to look good as it gets older to

wow, he's really pretty!
when we've got a bit more room, I might see if I can get some babies if you eventually end up breeding them :D
