I am getting a rough scaled python in the next couple of weeks.
I have it's full enclosure set up and am using a heat lamp for day temps and heat emitter for night.

Blown if I know how to get a top down gradient in a click clack though.
Do I just wrap a heat cord around the lid and upper part?
Or do roughies live on bottom up heat until they can move to a real enclosure?

dang.

That doesn't help at all.

All that information was about enclosures with the heat cord under the floor. I already have many enclosures where I have done this.
I just need to know if arboreal species just have it under the floor causing a bottom up gradient even though these snakes spend most of their time in branches. Or do I put it on the top somehw making a top down gradient?

There was one I thought with the cord on the lid(second page)
I would just tape/fix the cord along the out side of the tub/click clack at top. My poor guys just lived in ghetto click clacks  (heat mat under click clack/tile on the floor) They are all hail and hardy(Aboreal & semi Aboreal Pythons)
