I've been breeding Coastals and bredli for a while now and always seem to get a problem feeder or two out of a clutch. Even trying live pinkies, braining, scenting, harrassing them etc etc there always seems to be one that wants to be defiant. I am always reluctant to force or assist feed or tube feed using a pinkie "slushy" but it often becomes a last resort. Theres always a risk of injuring the baby...
In your experience is it common for a baby to go as long as 6 months or even more without a feed and not suffer any obvious adverse affects? Is there a risk in just waiting and waiting till it decides to feed, in case it never does??
What are your thoughts on max time to let them go without a feed?
