hey all,

im installing some basking shelves in my new enclousres for my bredli's and md...

how far away or how close to the heatlamp (100w) should the shelves be?

the total height of the enclosures are 4ft...

any opinions?

cheers

Matt

So what did you do?

I need to build my bredli new enclosures soonish

put a shelf in and siliconed all gaps to seal it, be ready to start painting in the morning.....

the shelf sits a foot below the globe (the globe doesnt take up the whole light cage)

looks good any reason you decided on making it quite compact and small?
maybe i should convince you to come make some cages for me :)

the shelf compact and small?

there will be atleast 1 large branch in each enclosure running horizontal from the shelf to the opposite wall, so they can sprawl out across that too.....

its all slowly coming together....

just gotta get out and find lots of decent branches now!

This is my enclosure for a diamond it is 6x4x2ft. The shelf under the lights is 50cm below the lights and the shelf on the right is 30cm from the top. I am using 2x40 watt party globes 1x red heat globe 100watt and a 250watt ceramic.
Hope this helps
