hey guys, my bhp has what looks like a "dry?" patch on the back of his neck. It was there but smaller prior to his last shed, then was gone, but now is back and a little bigger, say 5 mm squareish.
Any ideas? should i be freaking out? otherwise he's as good as gold.

cheers

not really, seemed all black, just appeared about a week later

could he be sticking his head in something and damaging scales when he it pulls back out?

not sure, not too much to scrape on in his enclosure, i'll try n get some pics up

Damaged scales was my thought too. They usually go away with a shed, unless it keeps damaging them.

After some investigation, i think you guys may be right. He spends a bit of time sort of peering, trying to escape, through the round vent holes at the front of his enclosure. When i had him out yesterday i had a feel around the edge of one of these and i reckon it could be the culprit. I'll try sanding the edges and see how i go.
thanks for ya help guys!
