is there any place i can get a cover for my uv light he just found a way to get in between the light and the bracket
 
It would have to be some sort of a wire mesh, as any thing else like plastic, or glass would cancel out the uvb.
 
All my lights and heaters are caged. As a general rule with any captive animal, if the animal can hurt themself on something, then sooner or later it will do so. You can easily and cheaply build the cages from mouse wire and aluminium, all purchased at Bunnings.
 
Got my flouro sitting on top. I cut a slot with a jigsaw and covered it with mousewire then put a rail of dowlind around it, light just sits inside.
