I have a pair coming 10 months old...I had reverse prob..they are on heat cord which in Winter and up until 2 weeks ago would not get above about 26 degrees...they still ate well and were active...now have them up around the 30 degree mark...I think a little cooler is probably better than too hot.

Depends how cool. If they don't have enough heat to digest their food it can kill them....
