That looks very good, I assume it works well for you? I would rather use acrylic, like you I have grotty fingered kids and dont want to use glass just incase.

Never had a problem! Have seen our little Bredli try to squeeze through unsuccessfully and there is no chance the kids will fall into it and be cut to shreds, which is handy!

We have two we built with acrylic and one we bought with glass. The glass doors squeak and screech in the tracks as well so that's another plus for the acrylic in my book as well.
