Just took a few quick photos to show you what I been up to lately.
Small glass tank to the left has a male jungle. The small tub next to it has a thicktail gecko. Small glass tank on the desk has a female MD, ontop of that is another small thicktail gecko in the tub.
In the 3 big melamine enclosures, a bearded dragon is up top, the enclosure with the red light has a male darwin. (that enclosure still needs work).
The empty one is for the jungle when its a bit bigger.

My freshwater croc in the 6ft glass tank, small jungle in the glass tank, and a pygmy bearded dragon in the small timber enclosure.

Male darwin here, the enclosure still needs work, i was just letting him have a stroll around. I have a shelf up top you can just see with the globe on the bottom so they can sit ontop and digest (ontop of the shelf is about 40-45 degree surface temps)

Male and female bredli. They live together permanently. Female is the one showing off on the vine., male is the one on the shelf digesting a feed.

Pymgy bearded dragon. I got this for free with the tank off a friend who was not looking after it properly.

My bearded dragon in her new tank.

Bearded dragon striking a pose.

Irwin my freshwater croc just relaxing the day away.

Nice looking reptile room mate.

When can I come and give Irwin a hold and *hopefully* return with all my original digits?

are they like snakes and they get used to being held and can pass as "friendly" or are they always snappy?

I am not sure, I dont handle it enough for it to get used to. It absolutely hates being picked up- thrashes around, pees all over the place and calls for his mother (the little blouse). I do have a newspaper article on the wall above the croc tank about a lady in Melbourne who takes hers for walks so I guess then can be tamed down.

I purchased the croc with no intention of trying to handle it or tame it down though. I dont want to domesticate something like a crocodile.

May I ask what the plans are when the croc grows?
Amazing setups though, I'm extremely jealous... at only a meager three reptiles I've been made to swear not to keep anymore!

you have a great set up! i love the croc u have i live in NSW so we cant have them as pets but if we were allowed i would have one !

i would feed the neigbours cats to my croc !!!! save money just disapear them !!

( joke for cat lovers )

you have a great collection

Im getting the bottom 700mm of a rainwater tank built. Diameter of 2m.
Build a small shed/aviary around it. Possibly Insulated.
Nice big filter for the water. Few basking lights for when the suns not out and winter time.
Solar heating for the water.
Big land area over a third of the tank.
Should be good for another 5 years I predict.

Bec- you need a specialist permit, then a crocodile endorsment. Not very hard at all.

The croc will grow to about 2-2.5m. Some books and reference say big males can get to 3m+.
I would actually like to hear from some people who live up north who see freshies in the wild- how big, on average are most that you see?

Stunning setup mate - thoroughly jealous! That shows a lot of commitment. Do you keep any furries, or just scaleys?
Thanks for sharing the pics. Warakazui might be able to help you out with freshie lengths.
Cheers,
Nic

good lookimg set up what are the dimensions of the bredli encloser how long have you had the pair housed together and what do you plan on doing with the croc when gets to big cheers

Don't they have to go back to the croc farm when they get to about 2 metres in length?

Looking good mate.I was going to get a freshie until we went to a croc farm up north. The missus read the info plate on the fence - Johnsons Fresh water Croc. She looks at the crocs and says...They dont get very big eh! They were big crocs,And I was busted:lol::lol:
