Hi all,

We've had our first snake (adult stimson called Rosie!) for a few weeks now and today, after one refusal last week, she took her first feed!!!!

I'm obvioulsy a newbie and at the end of the day - I know, it's just a feed - but how good a feeling is it and how good to watch?!

It's been like having another baby in the house - worrying about getting the temperatures right, where the hides should be, what globes to use etc etc... Today's feed is the reward!

Some of the threads on this site have been a great help getting up and running. Thanks all!

I've got the bug big time!!!:D:D

i havn't got any yet but i have seen a baby (bit bigger than a hatchling) eat a gecko it was amaizing the whole family ended up watching it ..

Oh it is an awesome feelilng when they eat for you. Babies are a worry, especially for newbies, and for him to take his first feed is just such a grinner. I can remember back earlier this year, I bred my very first clutch. Some started eating straight away, others didn't. 2 were 4 months old before they took their first feed. I love it when things just work.
