What size heat mat do you recommend for an enclosure with a floor size of 120cm X 35cm?

with or without a thermostat? what other heating do you have if any? whats the overall size of the enclosure? and what are you going to keep in it?

I wil be using a probe thermostat. I have a 150w infared globe hanging from top. The tank is about 40cm high. I will be keeping bearded dragons in it.

i dont think u need a heat mat then. the infra red light will be plenty:) it will even go all night. if u want extra heat during the day i would use a basking light:)

Agreed, another basking light will be splendid!

You will probably think that I am an idiot for asking this, but what is a basking light? Is it one of thoes ceramic bulbs that dont produce any light? And do you still need to use a thermostat with them? Sorry about all the dumb questions but Im a newbie and I wanna get it right.
