Heating Monitor Enclosures

Hi Guys,

Need help on what type globes to use for basking spots? And how far away do you place the globe from the basking spot?

With my Sand Monitor i use a bunnings 100w Flood Lamp, probably about 20cm above a log.

Hey mate.

I use 150 Watt flood light on a 12/12 hour timer.
I place the light far enough so it can't be jumped on really.
It can't get too hot in my opinion...if it is the enclosure will probably be on fire haha.

I get my globes from bunnings. $15 dollars for the light holder and comes with the globe.
Globes cost about $5 dollars for 2.

These have worked with no problems, a few have busted but it really dosen't bother me.
They cost nothing and put out heaps of heat.
