Hey all I'm Gards just got myself my first snake I've all ways liked snakes but was very set in my ways of having a fear of them so I went out and brought myself a NT carpet python and now the obsession has begun there are not as bad as I thought. I'm hoping to get a Aussie GTP for the next snake.

Welcome mate. Great first snake.

Got any pics?

Welcome to the big family of APS, gards! :D:D:D

Great choice for a snake! I love Darwins ^_^ Can you post a picture?

Make sure you do A LOT of research if you are getting a GTP. They require a speacialist licence as well. Best of luck to you and your collection :D

Hey gards welcome to asp
im just about to get a couple of albino darwins myself can't wait to have a go at the whole breeding process would like a gtp and a jungle too but first thing is first plan A the albino darwins gl with your darwin

Thanks guys. Just wondering because I'm fresh with this snake stuff is it ok to put artificle grass in the enclosure will it effect or hurt my snake at all? thanks guys.

I use it in one of My Beardies housing. Use newspaper on the rest.
Only thing is you just got to give it a good wash.. I blast it with the hose.

Have been told it can maybe harm the snake (sumthing to do with the blades of fake grass interfering with the snakes coloicer) but alot of people use it I myself use like a recycled paper bedding

Cloaca*

I've read the same thing once, not sure if it's that common or not :s

Yeah not sure as well but I can see how you would come too that conclusion also maybe eye damage ????? Idk
kinda why I stay away from pebbles/rock/gravel substrate just incase they digest it
