This question is why I like the NT sometimes. One of the conditions on your Permit to Interfere with Wildlife (mind out of the gutters you deviants) is that the "problem" animal you have to relocate needs to be able to fend and maintain its current state of health wherever and whenever you release it. I have a wild python at home I have to collect from someone that had an injury across its midsection and was in no position to be released without risk and am still operating within my permit conditions to have her until she is able to be released (only a couple of weeks now :( )

I suppose other states might work like this, but in all honesty, I would love to see registered "snake catchers" being regularly audited and have additional requirements to be checked before you can rehabilitate an animal.

My 2c and as this is the interwebs, take it with a grain of salt
