i found this snake this morning
i live far north coast nsw
he is about 3-3 1/2 inches


any help would be greatful

Yes it is,

Bites can be local swelling varies person to person, i've been bitten twice with no reaction at all.

so just swelling.
could they be fatal

its looks more like a hatchling does that make it more dangerous ?
 
No,

Anything can be fatal if you have an allergic reaction to it, but there are no known fatalities.

I don't even think there would be an antivenom, due to the low toxicity of the venom.

No smaller snake, means lower venom yields but same strength.
 
They are tagged brown snakes and shoveled by their thousands, a very common snake on the edges of suburbia, average size in my area would be around 50cm.

thats wat i thought it mite of been when i 1st seen it
just gave him a skink
gobbled it up no problem haha
 
They're very active, and you see them heaps in long grass.

I would say one of the most common snakes seen.

yea i was just trying to hold him to take some pic wouldt stay still haha
wat is there tempermant like?

will they strike at humans
cause i was just holding him and was frigidity but did seem to wana bite me?
 
You were holding a snake you didn't know what it was. hmmm.

Lol, i can't remember its been a while since i use to catch them as a kid.

yeah my sister got bitten by a white lipped whip snake (same family) and just made her slighty oozy
