wanted to get a gecko but now that i think about it it wouldnt be very good to be misting a wooden vivarium and was wondering if there was something that would be perfect to put into a wooden vivarium 80cm long, 45cm deep, and 60cm high any suggestions would be appreiciated

I dont keep geckos but if your really keen on one and worried about the wood you could always cover it in a layer of clear, waterproof resin and let it cure?

not all gecko enclosures need misting, most of mine live in wooden enclosures and have for years,....have you looked at nephrurus types?
(amyae, wheeleri etc)

i offer water on upside down terracotta saucers from bunnings, and give them an occasional spray when i get them out,...

heres one of my amyae enclosures

i make wooden frames, use cup hooks to thread heat cord thru, and whack a tile on top.

theres 2 heated sections in that one

where do you get the tile from and how much does it cost

dont worry found one at bunnings

I thought that the heat cord needed space to breath and get air
