Nice Save

I saved this little guy from a cat, luckily I got there before the cat did any damage. I took him inside and put him in a clickclack on a heat cord to calm down, and make sure the cat didn't grab him again straight away. I just took him outside and let him go in the park, opposite direction from where the cat is. What is he?

Looks like some sort of skink too me we have them in darwin and im sure I was told its a type of skink....Im sure ill be corrected though??

Nawww, is that forked tail just a reflection for the table?

The forked tail happens when the tail is damaged but doesn't completely fall off, the body repair the part that is still there and regenerates another at the same time. Not too uncommon but i nice find.

LOl yeah real forked tail. He was really cute. And no I didn't kill the cat i'm too much of a soft touch to even kill an ant.

They are a great skink, I have them every where here,
As we have built the gardens up over the years so have their numbers.
I have them around my turltle pond and some tweezer feed the turtle food,
They get some great blue colouration through the head, looks really nice.
I saw my first hatchling for the season yesterday too,

Well done on saving one from a cat!!
