I fed my snake last night (murray darling carpet about 3 years old) and today when I looked at her I noticed she looks hurt. Her mouth looks wonky, sort of like when they eat? I don't know if it's swollen or not, it just looks wonky, her bottom lip. It doesn't match up with the top.
When I was feeding her she was up high, I thought she was latched on to a branch but she wasn't and when she grabbed the rat she sort of swung onto the ground I checked to see if she was okay and she seemed it, ate the rat normally (she's never had trouble eating this sized rat btw).
So I'm thinking her jaw might be stuck from eating somehow, or it's swollen, or as the worst case scenario it's broken poor little baby. Never feeding her up high again! Was stupid.
Should I take her to the vet? Or wait a few days to see if it goes back to normal 1st? I could get photos on here?
