My Stimson python seems to go right up the top of his enclosure and sits at the back right next to the bright compact light globe.. He even seems to sleep there during the day. Although I'm not even sure how to tell if they're sleeping (except he looks dead still).

I was reading a book last night about the biology and phylogentic tree of sea snakes and some species apparently have light receptors in their tails! Imagine that!? An eye on your bum!

Too much UV light can cause photokeratoconjunctivits. UV light isn't necessary for pythons anyway.

my beardies do this from time to time, they wil be running around and suddenly stop, and tilt their head and stare at the UV lights for 10 minutes, then run off again
