Hi all, long time no chat...
Just wondering, I have some frozen rats left over from before I hibernated my scaly friends, how long are they good for once frozen? and what problems can arise from stock thats old?
Cheers in advance.

from what ive read in other threads if i remember rightly you can keep them for up to 6 months, someone correct me if im wrong

Yes, it is generally accepted to be 6 month's.
I have used food that has been frozen upto a year with no ill effects, but it isn't something I would do if I could help it.

Yeah, 6 months is what I try to keep it under, but as with NC, I've used them after much longer, even more than 12 months in some cases.

Depends on the temperature too. A deep freeze (like a chest freezer) will keep goods much longer.

:p
