I like the pebble idea. My bredli came with the cat litter so I have kept up with it but lay newspaper over it during feeds. She has come to recognise this as feed time.

We use newspapers and always put the politicians as the top layer

I use Aspen, it looks great and our little one seems to love burrowing in it.
