When to add heat lamps

Hi all,

I am just about to start working on a custom background for my 450x450x600mm Exo Tera terrarium for me 3.5 month old Bredli and I'm planning on making a basking ledge for her.
From what I have been reading it's best to just have a heat mat for them as youngsters and add a heat lamp later my question though is at what age do you add the heat lamp? or am I ok to add one once she has moved into the larger enclosure?

She's my first snake and was a gift for a friend so I'm probably just being a bit paranoid and over thinking but I want to make sure I am doing everything right for her.

yep don't think too much about it. Just a heatmat will do for its lifetime but if you need a light or basking ledge then add this whenever you want really. It doesn't make a difference.
