These two little whip snakes were found in chilly old melbourne the other week under the same rock. And yes there were released back where they were found

I thought all whip snakes have the comma eyes?
Could it be a Parasuta flagellum?

cool...........what type are they
Their little whip snakes suta flagellum by memory

How was their temperaments? Fiesty at all?

The darker one was pretty placid but the lighter coloured one was fiesty, she was also possibly gravid and about twice the girth of the other one.

how big are they they look tiny

Thier not called Little whip snakes for nothing  I think they were about 20 - 25 cm long

Oh, I see now, common name is little whip snake even though they are a hooded snake not a whip snake :)
Makes sense to me.

Sorry my mistake it is Parasuta Flagellum, not sure where I got suta from

I did say by memory

And yes magpie they are a hooded snake

Why are wild snakes being photographed in plastic tubs? Are you carrying out some research?

Nope they were found under a rock, which had to be moved, they were placed in the tub for about 15 min while this was done as there were several magpies around. Once the rock was replaced they were released back under the same rock.
