Just got a new bredli the other week and he has a small area on his neck from a wound that has reopened after his last shed. (shed the day before I got him)

Just wondering if theres any antiseptics or something I can apply myself just to be on the safe side.

Get a tube of F10 Germicidal Barrier Ointment it is
a great product

Good one mate. That should see it right. Just apply it once every couple of days, more frequently if the area tends to get dirty.

Heres the photos mungus :

ouch poor this do you know how it happened? I normally just use diluted bedidine in warm/cool water and bath them in that, it works but you could try take him to a vet and see what they recomend.

cheers

That looks pretty nasty, maybe you should see a vet.

I was told he got caught on a 'clip' or something in his enclosure from the last owner, and that it reopened when he shed because he scraped it on something again.

He also apparantly got caught in a heatlamp the other month  Poor guy, hes got alot of battlewounds though around his neck, have a feeling he was fed live although the owner said no, frozen only.

I'd vote for the F10 ointment - its good stuff.
