Sunning carpet pythons

Are there any problems associated with sunning nocturnal reptiles like coastal carpets. Would their eyes be sensitive to the light or would they just be a bit drowsy from being awake during the day? Just wondering coz i see photos of carpets out sunning, and some at the zoo are active during the day as well

i have found a few coastals out in the sun moving around so they wouldnt be affected by it.
also know of one that sat in a bright filtered sun light spot where is digested a brush turkey size prey for a few days
