Do you believe in ghosts?

Okay, in readiness, it's Friday 13th this month, and i'm curious to know, do any of you guys believe in ghosts........has anyone got a story to tell. Lets settle down with a few good spooky stories in honour of this being a Friday 13th month.

To start it off, we have several living with us. Including a couple of animals. Some followed us here from where we lived before, ten years ago, others were already here.

I too believe in spirits and liquor land :lol: DUDE it was Friday the 13th last month too, nothing bad happened.

I honestly would like to know as a skeptic if any paranormal activity occurred on 13/02/09 :shock:

we lived in a house that was over 100 years old ...we had a ghost that lived there ...my husband was the biggest skeptic you could come across ,always having an excuse for everytime something happend ...cupboards all opening up and being left at the same lenghth of 10 cm apart in a row ..he blamed mice .:shock:..cd player turning on by its self playing cd..he blamed a frog :shockcouldve jumped onto the play button) pressure being felt on our bed like someone was either kneeling or walking on it as we slept ..he blamed the neighbours cat ,or he didnt feel it .:shock:..he had no explanation when the books were all over my daughters bed and she was at school and i was under the impression it had been her that had placed all of these books opened up and laying face down ..the pages of every single book was on page 12 -13 ...my sister n law was there when my daughter came home ,and she thought it was one of us that had done it ..when we all got spooked we went in and picked up the books to find the pages were the same but after reading the books on those pages couldnt work out why ..:shock:heaps of other stuff happend too .:evil:.but the scariest was one night we were watching TV and heard a loud crash and breaking glass ..as there wasnt any wind we were a bit shocked anyway after checking the kids rooms and the rest of the house ,we thought it must have been down stairs so thought nothing more ..anyway hubby went to bed and when i went to go to bed about 1/2 later ,normally i just go straight into my room with lights off ,but something urged me to turn on the light and lucky ,we had a picture on our wall of all our kids pics they were done in a mosaic and the whole thing was in a big glass frame ..the picture had come off the wall and smashed to the floor spreading glass all over our bed big huge shards of glass were sticking up and out of the bed ,my hubby was only cms away from stabbing himself ..when i showed him this ,his first response was the string must have given way ..i turned the frame around and show'd him that it was a wire and it was still intact ..and as we only had a sky light in our room and no window it couldnt have been that ...this ghost ended up giving my hubby cold chills when he entered our bedroom ,we also had things fall off shelves and turn around ..my daughter use to feel it on her bed too ,and had that erie feeling of being watched all the time ..but the most unbelievable thing was ,when we moved out ,as another person wanted to look at the place to move into ,i was already at my new place ,and hubby was still playing skeptic,this woman who we didnt know asked if she could check out the place while hubby was doing the last of the cleaning up outside,as the house was emptied inside he said no worries and showed her through ..she got just past the bathroom ,which was next to our bedroom and turned to my hubby and my father in law and said "do you realise there is a strong presence in this house ?and its really a very cold receptive type of spirit"..my hubby laughed it off saying my wife has been telling me that for a few years ,i kept telling her she was imagining it ..so some stranger informed him that and he now says he kind of believes we had something in that house ...

Yes, the day my dog died, back in South Africa(we couldn't take her with-was too old) we were all outside and we all seemed to see her sitting in the yard. GOD I MISS HER! RIP CHEALSEA

Well, I don't remember it, but my mum and my Dads nanna were really close, and talked of death often, and promised each other to give as sign if there is anything after death.

So a week or so later after she had died, (I was about 5), I was lying on mum and dads bed drawing, next thing I look up to see nanna walking in the front gate, she looked up and smiled at me.
I ran to get mum because nanna was here, and she tried to explain to me that nanna was dead, but I said she cant because she's here, I started crying and carrying on, so she went and had a look, and of course, no one there.
But I don't know, I'm a bit skeptical, who knows what I was drawing with, might not have had enough ventilation and started hallucinating:lol:
But to this day, i get chills down my spine when ever i see a picture of her. Weird.

a few years ago my grandmother died and we had to go to queensland for the funeral we were gone a week when we came home there was a butterfly in my daughters room the house had been locked up and no one had been in my grandmother always said she would come back as a butterfly .
then two weeks before i was to give birth to my youngest son i was asleep on the lounge when i felt someone kiss me on the cheek .when i asked my husband who had kissed me he said no one the kids were asleep and he had drifted of himself. i believe that it was my grandmother letting me no everythink would be ok with the birth

We had a ghost living in our old house that we have just moved out of.
We moved into the new house on Friday 13th last month

We had things happen there from one of our door stop statues go sliding across the wooden floor, sound of someone walking up and down the hall way in the morings, the TV turning itself off while watching it.
The cats used to go nuts up and down the hall way and jump at things that weren't there.

Another one was when I was 8 staying at a friends house I woke up in the middle of the night to find my friends clown mask (which I hated anyway) hovering about the end of my bed which a green glow around it.
Another time while staying at a motel woke up in the morning to see 7 shadows around the room sitting on beds and chairs. I hadn't been drinking.
Also while staying there walked past the community kitchen and the microwave light was on, but it wasn't plugged in

If i saw a ghost, i would be more inclined to get some kind of mental health check, than to believe in it.. ha

I have never had any other encounter other then that ...you guys dont have to believe me ,my hubby went through it and was always skeptical even though he couldnt always explain...
