I hate reading all the BS comments from the tight asses on here. Its for the kids, not you, so make a effort.
I didnt have any lollies earlier as i hadnt got round to it so i gave them a pile of coins, something like $6 each.
I also give them a carton of eggs to re-decorate the houses of anyone who is simply rude to them.

Kinda get sick of kids knocking on the door every second when I'm trying to study though, then basically forcing you to give them something. Where's the respect or manners? If they have the gall to expect something for free off of a stranger they could at least show some respect and not assault you for telling them, kindly, that you don't have anything to give and then standing there banging on the door for twenty minutes.

Also, by giving them those eggs you are encouraging them to break the law, egging houses is against the law and if they get caught they (or most likely their parents) would be fined, and if they damaged other people's property they could be in for a lot worse.

i like halloween ahah :) its fun....who cares if its american...its the one day of the year u can dress up without ppl thinking ur a hooker or freak :)

oh btw jordo u look gorgeous ahah very scary hun =P

I agree with Sarah, who cares if it's american, it's getting kids off of their computers and out in the street with their friends and meeting kids they may not know live just next door. Most go with parents and if everyone gets involved then it's really safe because everyone watches out for everyone. Most kids don't egg houses and if anyone does get their house egged it's usually teenagers, not the kids. So go out and get some lollies next year. It's a great community activity :)
Oh and costumes look great :D

I didnt really give them eggs, thought did cross my mind though, as for the kids here it takes alot of courage to knock on a door and talk to someone and then they just get shot down in a cruel way. When my boy is old enough i will pre-give all the houses lollies to give him so they have no excuse.

I doubt anyone here would be cruel to a child.
And what you're saying is fair enough, I guess the kids in my neighborhood are just impolite compared to most.

People in this town yell at the kids to get off their property etc. Im a cold-hearted person and that even makes me feel sorry for them.

Only reason i didnt dish out eggs for the poor buggers is cos the shinglebacks have eaten them all..

The kids certainly don't expect something from everyone (not mine anyway). It's an interesting thing seeing how they interact with people they don't know. I do have them supervised from a distance, and I always ask them to remain polite....if all else fails I suggest they open the bag they carry named "tightass" and throw a tiger snake into the arms of the non-conformer :) :D

I'm going trick or treating tonight but I have to wait until the residents go to bed. It's a lot easier to steal their stuff when they are asleep:lol:

is that it??? out of 19,165 members only 2 members dressed up for halloween....

I dressed as a bogan, put on my favourite trackies, top, made sure my hair looked feral and mullety, kept my earing in.... just happened to be hallowen today, I didnt do anything out of the ordinary ;) I dont trick or treat or whatever its called, never have, if kids came begging for lollies I would just tell them to get a job of tell them to leave, bloody scabs :p

Ive been opening the door with my jungle python, most of them wernt waiting around for the lollies i had
