I have been looking around for my next python and am really liking the look of the coastal diamond what are peoples thoughts and does anybody have any idea of where I can find them

Hey bud, I love the diamond x coastal great lookers when they grow a bit , I have an adult male coastal and just got a 2yr old female diamond which by spring next year will be closer to 3 1/2 and hopefully will breed for me , cool them , wake them up and see what happens. . Hope you find your self one soon . And if anyone has pics of any of their intergrades throw them up give us all a look !

I wouldn't call a diamond and a coastal the same species...

Call it what you want just don't label them as intergrades

Python-newbie , I just saw a nice little diamond/coastal in snakes for sale at qld $200 + $85 freight . And boys what do we call them a cross breed or ???

If you want the naturally occuring intergrade, then that's cool. But avoid diamond x coastal, or diamond x ANYTHING! The morons that breed them don't need encouraging.

diamond and carpet are the SAME SPECIES mix them up all you like there still the same species, and very common species at that not worth getting pedantic about

Nice call snake pimp like your work bud, . Serpent tongue why so dark on diamond cross???

Well somebodies obviously trying to mix them up, There are so many coastals in the wild here on the central coast. But I suppose that's good. I wouldn't like to get pedantic about it, they seem to go allright, ive found them breeding in the wild with diamonds and Ive found diamond cross jungle in the wild here too. I guess being the same species with the jungle that makes it ok too.

Oh thats right, your talking about PET snakes. Those ones that never escape.

Python-newbie, please don't encourage someone to breed their coastal with a diamond, if you like that specific appearance then please only look into getting a natural intergrade / port macquarie python.

You have found a wild diamond mating with a wild jungle?

Sorry to douse so much drama didn't realize that my personal taste was going to up set so many people.
The reason I like this cross is the variation in paterning. My mate had one few years ago and I think that is where the interest comes from.
If people have pics of there cross breed snake post them up and show me what you got

It's Ok, there is a lot of unhappy campers out there (they are at band camp - all male). The arguments will drag on forever. mix n match in the same species isnt wrong, some people just dont like it. . . . like marilyn manson.

The difference is the ones against aren't doing any damage by muddying the hobby.
