Thats what i thought haha350 is a bit much isn't it? I guess when their illegal/exotic they're worth more lol
Do these come up very often?
On Gumtree or Facebook I guess every month or so, somewhere in the country. It's mainly corns but you can occassionally see others. Who knows how many illegals are actually sold.
big call , doubt it very muchThey are on there every second day...Theres probably more corns being bred here in Aus then most of our native reptiles...
I used to no a few people that bred 50-100 every season, considering they can double clutch in one season, that ends up being qiuet a few..theres that many around Sydney its not funny, you can doubt it as much as you like, big call , doubt it very much
So your saying there are more Aussie herpers break the law then follow it. I do not even live there and I know that's b.s. I can't tell you how many times I've got p.m's from people trying to call me out because I own exotics. It seems like there are a lot of Aussies out there who are against the illegal keeping of exotics. And rite fully so.I used to no a few people that bred 50-100 every season, considering they can double clutch in one season, that ends up being qiuet a few..theres that many around Sydney its not funny, you can doubt it as much as you like,
By chance, I met a guy on the train home a few days ago. He showed me pics of him with corn snakes, retics and a boa!, at his mates place in Sydney (I knew it was sydney because he was standing in front of a car with yellow NSW plates).
Apparently he breeds them every year, and they sell like hotcakes?????.
I can only imagine theres alot out there especially ppl without a reptile licence...Im NOT saying theres more Aussie herpers out there breaking the law, however theres ALOT of exotics being bred here,corns-milk-king snakes-red tailed boas and the list goes on.Theres also so many people who do-have owned them also..So your saying there are more Aussie herpers break the law then follow it. There is no doubt in my mind there are a lot of exotics being bred over there, but you have to give your people more credit then that. In the short time I have been here I've been luckey enough to meet and chat with some stand up people. I've also had my run ins with dishonest and down rite rude people. For the most part I feel like a vast majority are against the keeping of exotics knowing how bad they can mess up an ecosystem.I can only imagine theres alot out there especially ppl without a reptile licence...Im NOT saying theres more Aussie herpers out there breaking the law, however theres ALOT of exotics being bred here,corns-milk-king snakes-red tailed boas and the list goes on.Theres also so many people who do-have owned them also..
