i know someone else upnorth with albino addersHi Nick,
Yes I know only too well about the albino adders as myself and buckley bred 4 albino's from animals from arp and krauss. Several times I was warned I could lose them and because it was illegal to bred them,
the albino's were shipped back interstate.
They are still a few hets in QLD.
So I know for a fact that you cannot breed them in QLD. That is why I wanted to know if the law had changed in QLD since I had the adders. Don't want to go through that again.
Cheers
The ranger I spoke to said you could keep anything you obtain legally
Hi,
When they did they said that they (the epa) had a meeting about albino /mutations last week in Brisbane and were very concerned but said yes, if I got them from interstate, I could keep them but could not breed/sell them, which at this stage is still unlawful.
BYW,This only applies to QLD
Cheers
Bwana
yeah, but given this thread is slightly contradictory.... and that makes little sense
its like saying its illegal to breed your captive GTP, but can buy one from overseas
although i probably shouldnt expect any of these laws to actually make sense
i have been told over the last 2 years how i was a criminal for breeding a natural occuring intergrade with a coastal, ummmm, the natural occuring intergrade was a coastal x diamond, so how could what i did be called breeding a hybrid, they like albinos are found in THE WILD....................
the natural occuring intergrade was a coastal x diamond
Are you serious? After all the hybrid/intergrade debates we've seen, you still do not know the difference between a hybrid and an intergrade??
That sentence makes absolutely no sense at all.
