G'day
I am new to all this.
I have a bredli python and water python.
My Bredli [ Joey ] has been laying in her water dish all day.
Is this normal?

yeah that normal, she might be hot and cooling off or she is just kicking back and taking it easy.

or worst case scenerio she could have mites, check water bowl for black floates and check her for them

What are your temps like? How old's your Bredl? Young Bredls do seem to have a tendency to soak in there bowls. As Farmdog said it could have mites, but one other reason for it soaking, which many keepers seem to overlook is that it feels insecure. Do you have several hides for it? Many young pythons will try to submerge themselves when they feel insecure, regardless of whether or not they have access to hides. Whenever my pythons do this (which is very rare) i try to dissuade them even if it means removing the water bowl for a few days.
