G'day all. Need a bit of advice here please. Just wondering whether we need to cool our two yearling MD's? If they have to be cooled, what temps do we keep them at over the winter period, and when should we start cooling? Cheers Cheryl

Their first winter is not nesessary to cool them, but as they mature Id go cold nights,ie no heat at all, and hot days.

We didn't cool them at all last year as they were both still only small, so we don't really need to cool them this year either? Cheers and thanks

No, not untill they are reaching maturity, as long as they have acsses to a cool area and their tank is not kept at a fairly constant temp all the time. All snakes need metabolic rest whether young or old.
