Editing other peoples Posts

should we be able to edit other peoples posts or is that a feature of being a moderator.

I'm pretty sure you'll find that you can only edit posts in the forum you are moderating.

Try it on one of the other forums and see.

Graham,

Just be careful about editing peoples posts.

It is better to remove the post and send the person a PM why you did it and then let them re-submit it in the approved format.

DON'T change peoples words as it looks like you are trying to put words in their mouths.

It really annoys people and personally I would be very peed off if someone did that to me.

Yep guys

not something you'd ever want to do as far as I can see. I did it when I was having a chat with Pinkie - I edited her post instead of my own. I can't actually see any use for it.
