Leopard Geckos & Ball Pythons

I so badly want a Leopard Gecko or a Ball Python, But there iligal .. Does Anyone Know Why ?

They are exotics, not allowed to keep exotic reptiles in Oz.

I'd take a Knob-tailed Gecko over a Leopard Gecko any day, and even I would take a Carpet Python over a Ball Python. We have plenty of wonderful snakes right here
