One of my snakes died last night.

I got home from my SES training last night to find my Female coastal carpet had died.

I'm not asking for you to judge me or ask me what happened, as I don't know.
I'm not asking to be flamed, or to have smart *** comments.
I just need to vent a little.

I wrote a poem,
It's not that great but it's from the heart.


I'll miss how she used to come up to the glass
EVERY MORNING to say hello,
I'll miss how she used to come up to the glass
EVERY NIGHT to say goodnight,
I'll miss how she used to eat from my hand so gentle,
cause she didn't want to bite.
I'll miss how she used to always stick her face in the camera,
and always seem to pose,
I'll miss how I would kiss her,
as she kissed me on my nose.
I'll miss waking up next to her,
and see her sleeping soundly,
All in all I did my best,
But now it's time for you to rest,
I know you're up there somewhere
Everyone now can see me crying,
For something that's not there.

I have a tear in my eye, that poem is so beautiful. no matter what it is big or small, every loss makes me sad, i may not have known anything about that person but it affects me because you can feel and see someones pain, and that hurts me too.
